Before venturing to discover whether you really have that 'green thumb', you need to study a little about garden plans, flowers, lawns, trees & shrubs, herbs & vegetables, house plants, landscaping, regional gardening, container gardens, garden guides, paths, pergolas, seeds, pests, fertilizers etc.
Just go through some planting guides and you will have a fairly good idea. I found the Better Homes and Gardens site offering useful Growing Zone Maps of USA spanning Northeast, South, Midwest, Mountain and Plains, Pacific Northwest, southern California to the Desert Southwest with the ideal locations for growing different plants.

Terrific knife sharpener My wife was given an expensive Furi knife as a gift. I didn't want this to be relegated to the bottom of the kitchen odd-and-ends drawer because I couldn't sharpen it properly. I have (or had) number of different sharpeners, all useless or difficult to use: tungsten carbide pull-through, traditional steel, can-opener &c. So I got the Ozitech because it's Furi's own sharpener.

Great containers! I love this set of storage dishes. They do not take up much room in my limited cabinet space, since they all fit inside each other, and I LOVE the fact the lids lock together, so no more lids all over the place. I saw on another review that she had problems with tomato sauce staining the bowls. The way to stop that from happening is to spray a little non stick cooking spray into the bowl before you add the tomato based product. Viola! No more stains! I highly recommend this set! |
